Fractions World provides a visual representation of fractions as color-coded bars with lengths proportional to their values. It allows users to expand and reduce those fractions by a factor selected by the user. Operations on fractions can be performed using the Addition/Subtraction, Multiplication, and Division tools. It displays the mathematical symbols representing the fractions and operations on them alongside the color-coded bars representing those fractions.

Create a new fraction
Increment a fraction’s numerator

Drag and place a fraction in the trash
Addition/Subtraction Tool
Place fraction’s left side on the attachment point on the ruler to add
Place fraction’s right side on the attachment point on the ruler to subtract
Add and subtract more than two fractions
Checkmark indicator if all fractions on the ruler have a common denominator
If checked displays mathematical symbols of sum or difference
Checkmark indicator if the sum or difference is in simplest form
If not checked the ruler units can be reduced by a user selected factor
Slide the ruler to the right to operate with negative fractions
Multiplication Tool
Place a fraction on the horizontal and vertical axes
Displays an array model representing the product
Displays the mathematical symbols representing the product
Division Tool
Place a fraction as the dividend
Place a fraction as the divisor
Press the divisor button to see how many divisors can fit within the dividend
Displays the mathematical symbols for the quotient, when divisor and dividend have a common denominator
